Override uses deep, rhythmic breathing to shift your nervous system out of overwhelm. Forty breaths to flood your system with oxygen. Then you hold, and your body resets.

The science

Cyclic hyperventilation (40 controlled breaths at a fast cadence) temporarily changes blood chemistry — reducing CO₂ and increasing blood pH. This produces tingling, lightheadedness, and a powerful shift in autonomic state. The subsequent breath hold leverages the dive reflex, triggering a vagal brake that brings heart rate down sharply.
